Breathwork For Emotional Release

What is Breathwork?

Breathwork is an embodied healing modality that uses simple controlled breath patterns to take you into a deeper state of consciousness. It works by helping to bypass the conscious mind and move into the subtle body to access the deeper layers of emotion, while gently supporting and soothing the nervous system. It’s a quicker way to move stuck energy and tap into a deeply intuitive state while remaining grounded.

In a society that gives limited spaces for emotional catharsis, Breathwork makes it possible to access what has been locked inside. It can help to show us what we need in a safe and supportive container where we remain in the driver’s seat of our experience. The style of breathwork I use is trauma-adapted, and a great practice for those with chronic pain or other unique needs.

Breathwork can support:

  • Emotional release and relief

  • Exploration and easing of depression, anxiety, guilt, shame, grief, heartache, and other emotions

  • Personal and ancestral trauma processing

  • Deep catharsis (that feeling you get after the best cry you’ve ever had) that leaves you renewed and refreshed

  • Clearing of energetic and emotional residue

  • Feelings of clarity, awareness, and inner knowing

  • Increased energy and emotional freedom

  • Intuitive messages about life, work, and purpose

  • Breaking through old patterns, habits and cycles

What to Expect

Each session is 90 minutes long as follows:

  • ~ 30 minutes to discuss intentions and get clear on what needs healing

  • ~ 30 minutes to lay down and breathe using the 3 part breath pattern with music and guided support

  • ~ 15 minutes to ground and rest

  • ~ 15 minutes for follow up and aftercare tools

You lay down and breathe, simple as that!

I have done 5 consecutive sessions of the Holotropic breathwork with Jazmine and I am always looking forward to my next one! She’s amazing at what she does. She creates a safe space and makes it very comfortable to dive into the work. Her ability to help facilitate and guide me through the breathing made it possible for me to be able to connect to my innermost divine self, tap into the spiritual side that I have been seeking for a very long time, and allowed me to release unwanted emotions and feelings that no longer serve me. New levels were achieved on the very last one I had with her and it was pure bliss and walls were knocked down. Learning a lot about myself and really enjoying this new sense of self I am emerging into.

Don’t wait to book your session, it is worth it trust me. I highly recommend her and all of her services that she provides. She has this natural gift to help you find yourself and who you’re supposed to become in this life.

FAQ

Are there different kinds of breathwork?

Yes. Different people and cultures have been using breath to aid healing for centuries. Holotropic breathwork and other similar styles became repopularized in the 1970s by Stan Grof and other spiritual experiencers who were curious about exploring the healing benefits of altered states . The specific style of breath work I pursued was popularized by David Elliot – a three part breath. I’ve found that this style has a grounding effect, more structure, and allows for a greater sense of support.

Is every session the same?

Although the structure is always the same, the experience during each Breathwork session is different every time. The one thing I’ve noticed over the years is that Breathwork always gives you what you need.

Is it scary? What if I experience pain or discomfort?

The best part about Breathwork is that you control the pace and direction by slowing or quickening the breath pattern. You get to decide how much you are ready for. That said, Breathwork puts you in a state where it is easier to lean into discomfort and the rewards of going all in with focused breath and intention are immense. We also spend time grounding and closing up afterwards so you feel ready to go about your day.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

I do offer virtual sessions so you can do Breathwork from the comfort of your home. For these sessions please make sure you have a comfortable space to yourself with no distractions so you can feel free to express and let go.

Can I do Breathwork on my own?

I don’t recommend doing Breathwork on your own with no personal guide or support until becoming a seasoned practitioner or having a solid monthly or weekly practice. Having a practitioner there with you whether 1:1 or in a group setting is important in order to stay grounded, navigate challenges and emotional difficulties, and release trauma effectively.
